Several years ago Mary Cooper convinced her friends in the
Horticulture Club that they should get permission from the
administration to clear out an abused wood lot and turn it into a
wildflower park.
The administration accepted the idea and even provided an
attractive entry way and some benches. After a significant
volunteer effort the wildflower woods is a jewel of Bristol Village.
Spring is a special time when residents make frequent trips to the
wildflower woods to see the promise and progress of the many
varieties of wildflowers now found there.
